Today we're hunkered down, confined to our house as Wisconsin is hit by a ferocious blizzard that led to school being closed today. How could we Wisconsinites ever handle such a weather scene as this:
Ha. Presumably snow is on its way. Had this precipitation actually been snow, I suppose there would be a lot by now.
Anyway...
Cecilia has been fighting a cold the past couple days which adds a whole new dimension to the stage we are currently in. It's kind of an exhausting one as it is, but throw boogers and coughing and crabbiness into the mix and nap times can't seem to come soon enough. To pass the time this morning, I got out my camera and basically followed her around. She's a busy little thing.
Simon was keeping himself busy by doing headstands on the chair. This brought me back...I couldn't begin to tell you how often I was upside down growing up. Trust me, it was a lot.
After Cecie went down for her second nap today, Simon was going to read an online book to me and I thought it would be fun to try getting it on video. He had a different idea of what would be "fun." He was waaaay too distracted by me holding my phone for starters and by the end, well, I warn you...if your children are around and you don't want them to have a potty mouth like my kid, I suggest you watch this later (and by potty mouth I literally mean potty talk, not cursing). Of course there I am laughing rather than scolding...mission accomplished for Simon, and as for me, I'll just have to wait for my next opportunity to teach him not to talk like that. Really, though, I blame the picture of the baby's butt for where this conversation went.
Happy Snow Day :)
{P.S. Snow is finally falling!}
This made me laugh so hard. Wow! First of all amazed at how well he is reading! That is so cute to hear...definitely get more of this on tape. Secondly, he is hilarious :)
